Mike Wallace and his daughter were assaulted outside PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday. Wallace, a 57-year old former NASCAR driver who had heart surgery in April, was leaving a Rascal Flatts concert with his family when there was an altercation with three men. Wallace was knocked out and his daughter, Lindsey Wallace Van Wingerden, was also hit while she tried to protect him.

Three men were arrested in connection with the attack. Both Mike and Lindsey were taken to the hospital. Via ESPN:

The 57-year-old Wallace said he suffered a concussion. He also said three front teeth were knocked a few inches into his mouth and he has a black eye that is causing impaired vision. He said he had 10 stitches in his lip."
