Balász Dzsudzsák scored twice on deflected goals to give Hungary the lead over Portugal. The first came on a free kick off the wall. The second came after it was deflected right back to him on the free kick, then he launched a second shot that also took a deflection.

Hungarian joy exploded on both. After the first, Dzsudzsák was crushed against the barrier by leaping teammates and dropped to the ground clutching his throat as if he couldn’t breathe, before getting back to his feet.

After the second, he took a leap and wiped out, and then proceeded to do a lengthy run down the sideline that earned him a yellow card. It took only a matter of minutes each time before Cristiano Ronaldo responded, though Ronaldo was quite unhappy with the second deflection.
