Buddy Hield was the best player in college basketball during the 2015-16 season, bar none. Hield was so much fun to watch, and seemed to raise his game in every big situation. The New Orleans Pelicans obviously appreciated that, as they got a tremendous value by selecting Hield with the sixth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Hield averaged 25.0 points and 5.7 rebounds during his senior season at Oklahoma. He also shot 50.1 percent from the field and 45.7 percent from 3-point range.

At 6-foot-5 and 212 pounds, Hield has the size to get his shot off in the NBA, and the Naismith College Player of the Year will help the Pelicans stretch the floor.

Hield is an instant-offense guy and New Orleans really needed some perimeter punch offensively.
