Lincoln and Kennedy were both shot on a Friday. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson. Kennedy’s secretary was named Lincoln. If you’re amazed by all the above coincidences, then your mind will explode when you look at the Cleveland Indians’ current road trip.
The hottest team in baseball (seven-game winning streak) will visit Detroit, Atlanta and Toronto — the three cities the Cavaliers visited during their run through the Eastern Conference.
Pretty eerie, if you ask anyone easily amazed by three major cities in close proximity with multiple sports franchises.
The quirky stretch end with a July 4 matchup between the Indians and Tigers. Major League Baseball should step in and have the Oakland A’s roll into northeast Ohio that day instead. You know, complete the circle. Prove Mulder and Scully correct. Get some run on national talk radio for once.
