Come on media it's gonna take a lot more to break me. To pin prostitution on me can't be the best y'all can come up with. If we are going to entertain the minds of gullible people give them a better story this was pretty much predictable. But while I'm still a hot topic I got a dance workshop and Bball tournament fans come on out.

In many ways, the saga of Roni Rose is the perfect story of internet fame in 2016. You might remember her as the sharply-dressed Warriors fan ABC cameras captured looking at Stephen Curry during the NBA Finals. The screengrab resulted in a rise in popularity and prominence, but as we know, everything comes at a cost.

Earlier this week, Bay Area news outlets reported Dominic Salazar was charged with running a prostitution ring, using a modeling-photography business as a front. The company’s website features a woman identified as “Rose” who bears a resemblance to the newly viral Roni. She also reportedly heavily promoted the business with since-deleted Instagram posts.

That was enough to elicit several headlines like Thirsty Warriors Fan Roni Rose Linked To Bay Area Prostitution Ring — and to elicit a response from Rose.

“Come on media it’s gonna take a lot more to break me,” she wrote. “To pin prostitution on me can’t be the best y’all can come up with. If we are going to entertain the minds of gullible people give them a better story this was pretty much predictable. But while I’m still a hot topic I got a dance workshop and Bball tournament fans come on out.”

So … there you have it. Three weeks ago no one knew who she was. Now “the media” is actively trying to break her. What a time to be alive.
