Chandler Parsons has found his landing spot. The Memphis Grizzlies and the 27-year-old have come to terms on a four-year, $94 million contract.

Parsons met with the Portland Trail Blazers early on Friday and walked away with a max contract offer. So he entered his meeting with the Grizzlies in a position of power. Memphis point guard Mike Conley and Parsons had reportedly been in contact and wanted to play together. When the Grizzlies matched Portland’s offer, Parsons agreed to join up.

The former second-round pick is one of the most efficient players in the NBA and after the All-Star break he boasted one of the best true shooting percentages in the league. While he is coming off surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the Florida product should be 100 percent by training camp.

While Parsons isn’t a name that will excite casual fans, he’s a great fit in Memphis. His signing is a big deal for the Grizzlies, as it could mean the return of Conley and Parsons will give them a wing scorer they sorely lacked last season.

He’ll become a big part of a core that already includes Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and (hopefully) a re-signed Mike Conley.

If he stays healthy, Parsons will be a huge addition for Memphis.
