Hassan Whiteside is staying with the Miami Heat according to Hassan Whiteside of The Players Tribune. Whiteside, who is listed as a “contributor” for The Players Tribune, has not published any other articles for the site. Presumably, this will be the first of many articles Whiteside writes about Whiteside.

The terms of the deal have not been announced, but it’s likely somewhere in the neighborhood of a max deal.

UPDATE: It is a 4-year max deal.

Whiteside averaged 14.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocks last season.
