Madison Bumgarner's "Double" Hit Off the Center Fielder's Glove
Madison Bumgarner batted 9th against the Oakland Athletics on Thursday night in lieu of the Giants using a designated hitter. Bumgarner immediately made his presence known by hitting a pop-fly to center field that was dropped by Billy Burns. Bungarner then showed off his jets and turned it into a double. Yes, Bumgarner was actually credited with a double on a ball that hit the glove of a Major League Baseball center fielder who has appeared in over 200 major league games. Baseball sure can be silly.
Bumgarner did not add any additional hits, but the Giants still won, 12-6.
