Georgia defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter was arrested for the second time in five months, after falling asleep at a traffic light around 5:30am Sunday morning. He has been charged with DUI and underage possession of alcohol.

Police had a heck of a time trying to wake Ledbetter up. They found him “breathing and drooling” at the wheel and had to park a car in front of Ledbetter’s to stop him rolling into oncoming traffic.

"The vehicle was in drive and his foot slightly on the brake pedal. Ledbetter did not wake up after numerous knocks on the window, yelling out for him to wake up and shaking the car, according to the report. Four officers total and EMS arrived on scene and attempted to wake Ledbetter up, even turning on a siren. After 20 minutes of being unable to get Ledbetter to respond, police eventually were able to open the door with a “lock jock.” Police after several more attempts woke up Ledbetter, who said he had not been sleeping."

Thankfully, Ledbetter fell asleep while stopped at a light and no one was hurt.

Ledbetter blew a .131 and .138, which would have been well over the .08 limit, had he been of legal age. This is Ledbetter’s second arrest in five months. He was arrested in March trying to enter a club with a Fake ID (charges were dismissed). Ledbetter was already suspended for a game from the first arrest. A DUI at Georgia is a minimum two-game suspension.
