Nick Saban appears to be just a little defensive over his decision not to suspend Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones following offseason arrests. At SEC Media Days on Wednesday, Paul Finebaum pointed out how bad that looked for Alabama, and Saban was having none of it.

That’s as testy an exchange as you’re going to have at a media day, and it only continued after the show went to commercial:
Finebaum claimed that last part would have been Internet gold:
Paul @finebaum: "If there was a video of what Coach Saban said to me in the 2 or 3 minutes after the interview, it would get 14 milion hits"

Finebaum’s point stands. If Alabama was opening the season against Chattanooga at home, Robinson and Jones would almost certainly be sitting the game out. Instead, the Crimson Tide open against USC in Dallas, and both guys will almost certainly be on the field.
