Auburn players told a story about Will Muschamp breaking his finger at halftime. Muschamp, in good humor, more or less confirmed the story’s validity, though he claimed not to remember the situation, as he “blacks out sometimes.”
Muschamp is known for his intensity in the moment. Some of Auburn’s defensive play last season would doubtless have roused some emotions. A broken finger seems reasonable.
