Watch Ernie Els Chip Into a Pot Bunker at The Open

Ernie Els did things a little unconventionally on the first hole during his second round at the Open Championship. Els had a short chip from a very tight lie off of the green and needed to carry his ball just onto the green to avoid rolling back into a pot bunker, but unfortunately that did not happen.

Els walked away with a bogey and dropped to one-over.
