Thomas Pieters took Rory McIlroy’s club throw during the third round of The Open a step farther. On the par-4 ninth hole, Pieters was unhappy after hitting his seventh shot from the left side of the fairway, so he broke his club over his knee and threw it into the gorse.

Pieters finished the hole with a nine.
