Ohio State has dismissed running back Bri’onte Dunn from the program for a violation of team rules, the university announced Monday night. The senior was expected to compete with Mike Weber for the Buckeyes’ starting job.

Dunn rushed for 295 yards and three touchdowns in limited playing time during his career. With Ezekiel Elliott off to the NFL, he was expected to enjoy an expanded role in the offense. Urban Meyer expressed a desire for Dunn to win the starting job back in March.
