Let’s do a mental exercise. Try to picture Rob Gronkowski throwing out a ceremonial first pitch to David Ortiz at Fenway Park.

Is Gronk wearing shorts and a No. 87 jersey? Is he sticking his tongue out and acting generally goofy? Does he manage to split the plate despite acting like the whole thing is a joke?

If so, go ahead and pat yourself on the back. You imagined it perfectly.
