NBC Adds Two Brazilian Supermodels to Olympics Coverage

Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima will be a part of NBC’s Olympics coverage in Rio, the network announced. Per the release, the Brazilian models will be on a late night program hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and will contribute features and commentary.

While some will surely point out that NBC could have found two more qualified journalists for these roles, it’s not the worst idea in the world provided they execute the broadcasts.

Seacrest’s presence will ensure, at the very least, everything moves smoothly. Ambrosio and Lima do have perspective to offer about all of the issues surrounding the Olympics in their native country. Will they choose to do so, and will the network encourage or dissuade it?
