Chase Allen is an incoming freshman tight end at Iowa State. On Thursday night after practice, the 6’6″, 220-pound Allen was crossing the street when he was hit by a car. It sounds like the car got the worst of it. Allen saw the car coming and jumped just in time. Via the Springfield News-Leader:

"Allen landed on the car’s windshield, which shattered upon impact. Allen said he had a large amount of broken glass in his back, but managed to avoid hitting his head or suffering any bone injuries. Allen popped up and was taken to an emergency room by some of his Iowa State coaches."

Allen ended up with 103 stitches and a reputation as a monster.
