Ryan Fitzpatrick Returns To New York Jets On One-Year, $12 Million Deal
Ryan Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets have finally agreed to a new contract. The two sides have reportedly come to terms on a one-year, $12 million deal.
Fitzpatrick started all 16 games for the Jets during the 2015 season and posted solid numbers. He completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 3,905 yards, with 31 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. His quarterback rating of 88.0 ranked 24th in the NFL, while his Total QBR of 63.6 was 12th.
There has been speculation all offseason whether the Jets would be able to bring Fitzpatrick back. The team clearly needs him as they have no other options to start on the roster. This deal makes sense for both sides as this late in the offseason there aren’t many opportunities available to Fitzpatrick either.
