Baylor offensive lineman Rami Hammad was arrested Monday on a felony charge for stalking his ex-girlfriend. Police were called after he waited for her outside her class on July 7.

"The woman told Hammad, a 21-year-old junior from Irving, to leave before she went into the class, but he waited for her outside, according to the affidavit. Seeing him waiting, the woman was afraid to leave alone and asked for the professor’s help, the affidavit states. She and the professor left together, and Hammad followed them to the professor’s office, where he began knocking on the door for several minutes, according to the affidavit."

The woman reportedly moved to a different apartment and drove a different car to evade Hammad. The woman also mentioned a domestic abuse incident from March.

"She told officers of another incident of abuse in March when an argument between the two turned physical and Hammad allegedly placed his hand on her throat and held her against the wall during the argument, according to the affidavit."

Baylor has suspended Hammad indefinitely. Hammad, a junior, is a presumptive starter at guard for the Bears in 2016.
