Corrections and Clarifications: Missouri’s head football coach is Barry Odom.

Missouri Tigers fans received bad news about their football team today. Redshirt Junior defensive tackle Harold Brantley (academically ineligible) and Sophomore defensive end Walter Brady (rule violation) were dismissed from the program.

Brantley, who missed 2015 after injuries sustained during a car accident, was honorable mention All-SEC in 2014 and expected to be an All-American candidate before his injuries. Brady had one of the nation’s best freshman seasons in 2015, recording seven sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss.

Missouri’s “S-E-C” caliber defensive lines have contributed to their relative success since joining the conference. Losing two potential impact players on that unit, with multiple years of eligibility left, is a major blow for first-year coach Barry Odom.
