Tim Lincecum may not be completely done with baseball, but his recent comeback attempt seems to be over. On Monday the Los Angeles Angels designated the former two-time National League Cy Young Award winner for assignment after rough outings over the last few weeks.

Lincecum looked good in his debut for the Angels, allowing just one run over six innings on June 18. Since then, things have been awful for the 32-year-old. He’s lost six of his eight starts since then and has posted an ERA of 10.58.

Overall, Lincecum posted a 2-6 record, a 9.16 ERA and a horrific 2.37 WHIP in nine starts and 38.1 innings pitched.

It’s probably a safe bet that Lincecum has thrown his last pitch in the major leagues.
