VIDEO: Dutch Cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten Suffers Horrendous Crash in Rio

Dutch cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten had a significant lead with just six miles to go in the women’s Olympic road race. She then suffered a horrific-looking crash while descending in slippery conditions. van Vleuten went over the handlebars and landed headfirst near a curb. She remained motionless as the next rider zipped past.

UPDATE: The Dutch cycling federation said she is “okay.”
