The Chinese finished 4th in the women’s 4x200m freestyle final on Wednesday. During a break, CBC commentator Byron MacDonald, who thought he was off-air, was caught on a hot mic saying “that little 14-year old from China dropped the ball.” Adding she “went out like a stink, died like a pig.” Ai Yanhan, who swam the second leg of the relay, is 14.

CBC has since apologized according to the National Post.
