CBC announcer Elliotte Friedman picked a bad moment to get his lanes mixed up. Michael Phelps won the 200 IM to win his 22nd Olympic gold medal. Friedman mistook him for Ryan Lochte and called the finish as though Lochte had vanquished his rival. Oof.
Terrible moment for a well respected professional.
I didn't see it, but I know few people more professional, or better, than @FriedgeHNIC. He'll take this harder than anybody.
