BBC Four’s Dan Walker was doing some late-night coverage from Copacabana Saturday when a bachelorette party made its way near the set. Understanding this to be a gift from the television gods, Walker invited the bride-to-be on-air for brief interview.

Considering the track record of bachelor and bachelorette parties, there’s any number of things that could have gone wrong and run afoul of standards. But this all worked out splendidly.

I wouldn’t be opposed to Maria getting some run over on NBC. Perhaps that time can come out of the Ryan Seacrest-Billy Bush pie. Very solid performance under difficult conditions.
