Chinese Diver Wins Silver, Gets Proposed to on Podium By Medal-Winning Boyfriend

Qin Kai, a Chinese Olympian, won a bronze medal in men’s synchronized diving last week. His Olympics ended with that, so he’s probably just been sitting around, enjoying himself, waiting for his girlfriend to medal in her event so he could propose. You know, usual dude stuff.

On Sunday, his girlfriend, He Zi won the silver medal in women’s 3m springboard diving. After she received her medal, Kai was waiting near the podium and proposed in front of a very receptive crowd. We couldn’t hear what exactly was being said, but Zi certainly took her sweet time before giving the crowd something to cheer about by shaking her head “yes.”
