Nick Young appears willing to forgive Los Angeles Lakers teammate D'Angelo Russell. This spring, Russell accidentally leaking a recorded conversation in which Young admitted to cheating on then-fiancee Iggy Azalea. Young and Azalea have since ended their relationship, but the man known as Swaggy P and Russell seem to be in the process of mending theirs.

In an interview with Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News, Young had a lot to say about the matter and appears to be taking a mature approach to the situation. Here are his comments:

"“We’re teammates. It’s been so long, so it’s kind of old. We’ll be able to work it out. We’ve already been working it out. It is what it is. I can’t be mad forever.”"

Young even laughed off Russell’s Foot Locker commercial that poked fun at the incident, claiming, “I need my commercial now. I’ll explain what happened to my life.”

Young has to either learn to love Russell or find another team willing to sign him. The young point guard is a big part of the Lakers’ future and if Young were to make waves, he’ll find himself released. That said, maybe he understands that Russell is a 20-year-old kid who screwed up royally and genuinely wants to be forgiven.

Whatever the deal is, it appears the two are trying to put the incident behind them.
