Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians was hospitalized Tuesday night after experiencing stomach pain shortly after arriving at a joint practice with the San Diego Chargers.
Arians informed team medical staff that he wasn’t feeling well and was taken to a hospital for further evaluation. He remained there overnight.
There is optimism that the incident is not serious. A team source told the Arizona Republic Arians would “be fine” — a sentiment Larry Fitzgerald echoed.
“We heard that he’s doing better,” Tyrann Mathieu said. “He’s in some discomfort, so we’re concerned for him, obviously. He’s our leader. He’s the heartbeat of our team. We really wish him a speedy recovery.”
