Birmingham and Chattanooga were playing a a perfectly fine baseball game on Wednesday until Courtney Hawkins hit a chopper to Ryan Eades. Then an entirely different and bad sport broke out. Hawkins stopped in his tracks and Eades tried to coax him back toward home plate, presumably to keep the runner in place at third. Both players displayed all the hustle of a lazy electrician who knows he gets paid by the hour.

Eades’ nonchalant tag proved costly when the ball flew out of his mitt and facilitated a mad dash to first base by Hawkins, who dove in safely.

Someone needs to burn this footage before an impressionable Little Leaguer sees it.
