Tony Dungy Would Just Split Usain Bolt Out Wide And Throw Bombs

Usain Bolt is quite fast. He doesn’t have SEC speed, obviously, but he is the fastest human being of all time. Stands to reason, then, that it’d be pretty hard to cover him if you were, say, an NFL cornerback.

Hall of Fame football coach and NBC commentator Tony Dungy fantasized about that exact possibility while on the air with Dan Patrick on Saturday.

"I don’t know if he can survive, but he’d scare a lot of people. I would use him as a wide receiver and we would definitely clear out one side of the field because he is so explosive and fast, it would be fun to see him on a football field."

Bolt is 6-foot-5, 207 pounds, which makes him about the same size as Randy Moss (6-4, 210), who was also quite fast and not necessarily known for his work over the middle.

So I’m in favor of it, as long as we also get Simone Biles returning punts.
