Marcell Dareus announced over the weekend that he would be heading to rehab in the wake of his second violation of the league’s drug policy. It also came at a time when the team was publicly talking about how frustrated they were with the 2-time Pro Bowler, who will miss the first 4 games of the season. Here’s Rex Ryan, via the Bills website:

"“I’m frustrated and disappointed, as is everybody in this organization,” said Ryan. “Every teammate from top to bottom. And I’m sure fans are feeling the same way. We all know the kind of player that Marcell is and you know that Marcell is a good person too, but he’s got to make better choices and understand that it affects the whole football team and not just himself.”"

According to the Buffalo News, the Bills “urged” Dareus to seek help. Hours after making the announcement and departing the team’s training camp in Rochester, NY, Dareus was seen along the Chippewa Strip in Buffalo where he visited at least one establishment and took a picture with some fans. While Dareus isn’t doing anything implicitly wrong in these images, he is proving that just because you’re going to rehab doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time. Just like Johnny Manziel. You have to wonder if the Bills consider this one of his better choices.
