The Champions League 2016-17 Group Stage draw happened. Here are the groups.

Group A: PSG, Arsenal, Basel, Ludogorets

This group seems pretty straight forward. PSG and Arsenal will play twice. Barring disaster, both will go through to the knockout rounds.

Group B: Benfica, Napoli, Dynamo Kyiv, Besiktas

A competitive probably exciting group. Also one that won’t get prime placement on TV.

Group C: Barcelona, Man City, Monchengladbach, Celtic

That’s probably Barcelona and Man City through to the knockout rounds. Some interest with the inter-British matchup.

Group D: Bayern, Atletico Madrid, PSV, Rostov

PSV is no longer PSV. Should be Bayern and Atletico Madrid through without much trouble.

Group E: CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham, Monaco

That’s pretty much the best draw Tottenham could have hoped for from Pot C. They should have a good shot of advancing.

Group F: Real Madrid, Dortmund, Sporting CP, Legia

Real Madrid and Dortmund through in some order.

Group G: Leicester, Porto, Club Brugge, FC Copenhagen

Not exactly the dream away dates Leicester would have hoped for arriving in the Champions League. But, that group gives them very good odds of reaching the knockout round.

Group H: Juventus, Sevilla, Lyon, Dynamo Zagreb

Maybe the closest thing to a Group of Death. Juventus should win. Sevilla and Lyon battle for that second spot.
