Bryce Harper is known for having a short fuse and on Saturday he showed off that trait once again. With the Washington Nationals and Colorado Rockies tied 4-4 in the bottom of the 10th inning, Harper struck out looking on a fastball from reliever Jake McGee.
Harper immediately jumped all over home plate umpire Mike Winters and was quickly ejected after throwing his helmet. Watch:
Sorry Bryce, but that pitch looked too close to take with two strikes, even if you are the reigning National League MVP.
That was the eighth time Harper has been ejected in his career and he certainly got his money’s worth on this occasion.
The Rockies won 9-4 in 11 innings.
