Torrance Gibson has been suspended for the entire college football season by Ohio State for an “unspecified violation of the university’s student code of conduct.” Details are sparse, but Urban Meyer said during a press conference on Monday that the suspension did not come from the football or athletics program and he disagreed with it.

Gibson was recruited as a quarterback, but converted to wide receiver while he was red shirted last season. This won’t be a huge hit to the Buckeyes as he didn’t even appear to be projected as a third-stringer as recently as last week. He did catch six passes and score twice in Ohio State’s Spring Game.
