Teddy Bridgewater Reportedly Goes Down With Potential Knee Injury at Vikings Practice
Teddy Bridgewater reportedly went down with a possible non-contact injury, and the Vikings halted practice today. In a series of tweets, St. Paul Pioneer Press reporter Chris Tomasson writes (punctuation and capitalization fixed for clarity):
"Teddy Bridgewater just went down looks serious Vikings end practice. Bridgewater being looked at players praying. This could be bad, might be Teddy’s left knee. Players threw their helmets down and cursed. Teddy Bridgewater had several players on their knees around him praying, including Adrian Peterson. Practice immediately was called and all players left field except several around Teddy. Looked like Bridgewater went down without contact about 20 min [into] practice."
Chip Scoggins of the Minneapolis Star writes in a series of tweets:
"Serious scene here. Group of players including Adrian peterson huddled on one knee around Bridgewater as athletic trainers help him. Mood is complete shock. Players left field to locker room in silence, visibly upset. Media were asked to leave. Press conference with Zimmer coming up shortly. Injury happened in team drills. Appeared to be non contact but I didn’t get a clear view. Just heard screaming and guys slamming helmets. Players and coaches immediately spread out over field in shocked reaction as medical staff rushed to Bridgewater on ground … An ambulance has arrived at Winter Park now."
This is a developing story and we will update if and when more information becomes available.
