Derrick Rose Thought a Foursome With Sexual Assault Accuser "would have been cool," But Denied Gang Rape Occurred

Derrick Rose’s sexual assault civil case will go to trial on October 4, just as the NBA’s preseason kicks off. As the trial draws closer, we now have a lot more information as to the circumstances surrounding the incident in question. Rose’s videotaped testimony from June 2016 reveals some details from the night of the incident, August 26, 2013.

The New York Knicks point guard claims he and the plaintiff — who is accusing him of gang rape — had a 20-month consensual sexual relationship and that on the night in question she asked for alcohol, marijuana and ecstasy before showing up at his rental home in Beverly Hills.

During his videotaped testimony Rose claimed the accuser was a “sexual aggressor” and that she bought a sex toy and drove to his house at 1 a.m. for intercourse. Rose then said, “If it would have turned into (a foursome) yes, would have been cool, but –”

The woman’s lawyer responded, “It could have been cool?”

Rose replied, “Yeah, but it wasn’t. I mean when she came — I asked her to come over. By that time, Randall was already doing his own thing.”

Randall, is Rose’s friend Randall Hampton, who is also accused to participating in what the accuser says was a gang rape. Both men maintain their innocence.

Back in October a California judge approved the woman’s $22 million civil lawsuit against Rose for trial. The woman, listed as Jane Doe, claims Rose and two friends drugged and gang-raped her. She has claimed she now suffers from PTSD after the assault.

Rose and his legal team have been attacking the accuser’s claims aggressively while going after her character as well. The drama surrounding this case is likely to only continue ramping up as the NBA season approaches.
