Messi Nearly Tackled By Fan During World Cup Qualifier

Argentina beat Uruguay, 1-0, in a World Cup qualifying match on Thursday. Lionel Messi scored the only goal. Later in the game a fan ran onto the field. He appeared to travel a good distance and maybe tried to tackle Messi. Instead he ran into him and fell to the ground where Messi kept him at arm’s length. The pitch invader then got up and hugged Messi until security took him away.
