Cam Newton was having a much better day than his last experience against the Denver Broncos, until DeMarcus Ware sandwiched him on 3rd down in the 3rd quarter. Newton walked off the field but then could be seen rolling around in pain on the sidelines with what looked like back spasms. He recovered enough to begin throwing before the next possession and return to the game when Carolina got the ball back.
