CM Punk makes his long-awaited UFC debut on Saturday in Cleveland at UFC 203. His opponent will be 24-year old Mickey Gall, a veteran of two professional fights. Gall had planned to walk out to Toni Basil’s 1981 hit, “Hey Mickey.” This choice was nixed by UFC President Dana White because he “wants something harder.” Watch Gall react in this video.

Gall is understandably bummed. Walk-out music is one of the very few remaining opportunities for UFC fighters to do something unique to make themselves stand out as individuals. The organization has put everyone in matching, muted Reebok outfits so fighters are left with hair and music choices. Gall went for something outside the normal nu metal trash and was quickly told that while t-shirts adorned with roses and skulls are now banned, their spirit remains.
