Jack Del Rio Rewarded for Cojones With Mass Memes And Twitter Love

Jack Del Rio is easily Twitter’s favorite football coach right now. The Oakland Raiders head man is being lauded as a genius after he decided to play for a win and not a tie against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1.
With just 47 seconds left in the contest, the Raiders scored a touchdown to cut the Saints’ lead to 34-33. Instead of kicking an extra point and playing for overtime, Del Rio chose to attempt a two-point conversion and go for the win. It turned out to be a brilliant move:
Twitter immediately fell in love with Del Rio for going against conventional wisdom and showing some serious guts.
