Alex Rodriguez Is Not a Cheap Breakfast Date

Baseball writer Jon Heyman once took Alex Rodriguez to breakfast. Per Heyman, Alex Rodriguez likes to eat. We can see eating five omelettes to get that much needed protein, though the five soups, for breakfast, seems…excessive.

Was his breakfast “Ruthian?” Open to debate, much like Rodriguez’s career home run totals. Babe Ruth’s daily breakfast of a pot of coffee, a porterhouse steak, four fried eggs, and fried potatoes sounds reasonable, until you realize he washed it down with a pint of whiskey mixed with a pint of ginger ale.

The real question is what Rodriguez eats for dinner. Ruth is on record, at multiple seatings and stops within a five/six hour period, consuming four porterhouse steaks, four heads of lettuce with roquefort dressing, four orders of fried potatoes, four orders of apple pie a la mode, eight hot dogs, and eight bottles of Coca Cola. We suspect Rodriguez has not matched that feat.
