National Anthem Photo Offers Everyone Chance to be Offended

Philadelphia Eagles players Ron Brooks, Malcolm Jenkins and Steven Means raised their right fists Monday night during the national anthem at Soldier Field in a demonstration against social injustice. A man holding the giant American flag was simultaneously caught looking at his phone. People have problems with both behaviors.

It’s also worth pointing out that the above photo includes a videographer kneeling and was taken by a photographer — both of whom were doing their jobs during the playing of The Star-Spangled Banner. That could also prove #problematic. The opportunity for outrage across the spectrum abounds.
