ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark wore a Colin Kaepernick jersey while appearing on Mike & Mike this morning, several hours after sending a tweet addressing the fatal shooting of Terence Crutcher by a Tulsa police officer.

It’s fairly easy to see the correlation and that Clark’s clothing choice is more a political statement than an appreciation of a backup quarterback’s early-season performance.

Mike Golic was named as a “waffler” in an Undefeated piece listing Kaepernick’s supporters and detractors. The same article included Bomani Jones and Stephen A. Smith as “for Kaepernick.” No ESPN personalities are listed as “against” the 49ers quarterback. Trent Dilfer’s criticism on NFL Countdown last week has been the strongest negative reaction from Bristol toward Kaepernick’s movement.

It remains to be seen if Clark will be the only on-air talent to wear the Kaepernick jersey or if others will follow suit.
