The Boston Red Sox have won seven in a row to build a five-game lead in the American League East. That means the outfield crew of Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Andrew Benintendi have had plenty of opportunities to try out new postgame celebrations. And the trio is really coming into form for the stretch run.
On Tuesday night they did this in an attempt to delight newspaper designers in the Northeast.
It was Andrew Benintendi’s turn to be in the spotlight after the Red Sox downed Baltimore for a third straight night on Wednesday. The youngster showed his dance appreciation by busting out some convincing Michael Jackson-inspired moves on the outfield grass.
He only gave the public a taste, though. There are definitely more Jacksonesque gyrations in his repertoire. The full routine is likely only available at the club or a friend’s wedding reception. Or, if we’re lucky, they’re reserved for the playoffs.
