Even in Triumph, Butch Jones Leaves You Puzzled
By Ty Duffy

Tennessee came from behind to beat Georgia on a Hail Mary. On his radio, Butch Jones claimed on his radio show that he overruled the first call, which was a short throw followed by laterals.
Butch Jones says on his call-in show that original call was short throw and laterals. Jones overruled for hail mary. "I had a feeling."

The Volunteers had the ball at the Georgia 43. Throwing the ball into the end zone should have been obvious. Throwing short for laterals there would have been either profound distrust of Josh Dobbs, temporary insanity, or a combination of both.
If Jones actually had to overrule Mike DeBord on that one, it’s good for the Vols his “feeling” turned out to be common sense.
