DeMarcus Cousins and the Sacramento Kings will play in a new arena this season, the Golden 1 Center (RIP Sleep Train). As with any new venue, the goal is to attract big, exciting acts on some of the 320-plus nights the Kings won’t be using the space. Paul McCartney played opening night at the arena last week. DeMarcus Cousins was not there. If he was, he would have needed to buy a program because he doesn’t know who Paul McCartney is. If there were no follow-up questions about the The Beatles in general, that’s a bad job by the assembled press.
