Carson Wentz is from North Dakota. They do things a bit differently there. It’s cold. They drive trucks. They tip 50%. Via CSN Philly:

"In case you’re wondering, Wentz picked up the entire tab, $1,000 and left a $500 tip."

I was wondering. This comes from a story about Wentz and some friends hitting up a sports bar in North Dakota during the Eagles’ bye week. In addition to the big tip, Wentz also treated the waitstaff like human beings.

"“As I was waiting on him, I had to look up. He is so tall,” says Rachel, a junior at NDSU who works as a server at Herd & Horns. “He was very humble, especially as a guest. He didn’t treat anyone like they were below him or anything.”"

North Dakota wise men say it takes a big man to be taller than everyone, but never look down on anyone. Wentz, of course, is 6’5″. And his rookie contract included a $17,600,000 million signing bonus. So his willingness to spend $1,500 on his friends is truly remarkable. He’s even humble in his mode of transportation.

"He was whisked off by his cousin in a 1996 Chevy pickup truck. No frills."

See? I told you they drive trucks in North Dakota. I bet Wentz even paid for gas.
