Were Florida Players Taunting LSU with Skeleton Cat Draped in Purple and Gold Beads?

The Florida Gators and LSU Tigers have hit a rough patch in their relationship. The two permanent SEC rivals went through a bit of drama regarding the scheduling and re-scheduling of their game after Hurricane Matthew hit the state of Florida that prompted both fans and media to pick sides.

After the Gators’ 40-14 win over the Missouri TIGERS, a fan who brought a skeleton cat draped in purple and gold beads to the game threw it onto the field for the Florida players to use as a prop.

LSU just lost their live mascot Mike the Tiger after a battle with cancer.

Whether or not the Florida players were taunting LSU is up to you to decide, but the use of the prop prompted the Gators to release a statement on Twitter.
