Video: Wade Phillips Gets Bowled Over on Sideline, Carted Off [UPDATE]

Broncos defensive coordinator and all around wonderful human took a big, incidental hit on the sidelines from Chargers running back Melvin Gordon. He was down for awhile in what was a very scary moment, as players on both teams knelt on the field.

In what is hopefully comparatively good news, CBS reporter Jamie Erdahl said on the game broadcast that he was conscious and communicating with the team’s medical staff before he was carted off. He was also moving his finger as he was carted off. The team said he is alert and moving all extremities while en route to the hospital in an ambulance.
