Trent Williams is Washington’s best offensive lineman and a four-time Pro Bowler. Now he’s been suspended for the second time in his career for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Williams will have to sit out the next four games. He was previously suspended four games in 2011 after failing a drug test. Williams admitted to marijuana use early in his career.

This suspension apparently came because Williams missed a test, not because he failed one.

Other than Williams, Washington’s offensive line is incredibly unreliable. With the team at 4-3-1 and in the thick of the NFC playoff chase, this is a huge blow.
